Dear Dr. Colmerauer:

	I could make the preliminary visit to Marseille that you requested
on Friday, February 6, actually arriving on the evening of the 5th.  I
would return on Saturday or Sunday.  It would cost $1730.
Is there anything you would like me to do during the visit
such as deliver a lecture.  The lecture would be
entitled "Formalizing Non-monotonic Reasoning" and would be based
mainly on my circumscription paper in %2Artificial Intelligence%1.

	How do you wish to pay for the travel?  I can pay for it
initially, but it would be more convenient to be reimbursed right
away than to wait till May.
